What to weigh: the AI inventory outside Nayara and Sansara is mid-tier or thinner. Bocas's small-plane transfer is unavoidable, and the rainy season on the Caribbean coast (May–November) is heavier than the Pacific equivalents. The country's mainland Caribbean coast has rougher swimming than the archipelago itself.

The honest filter: Panama is correct for the single high-end booking — Nayara Bocas is the country's draw and worth the routing — or for travelers willing to pair the trip with Panama City. It's the wrong call for traditional resort-row beach travel.
